Mediasmith’s programmatic team executes campaigns across display, video, and social media channels using a variety of buying platforms. The Programmatic Manager will oversee a small team of traders and work with our media planning groups to develop and implement RTB media strategies per client needs.
The ideal candidate has meaningful hands-on experience with programmatic media buying; we’re looking for somebody who has built many successful RTB campaigns from the ground up. They should be comfortable leading client and vendor communications, adept at distilling complex topics into clear explanations, and driven by a desire to learn about all facets of digital media.
Manage a 1-2 member buying team
Drive agency strategy around programmatic buying through technology platforms
Work with media planners to develop programmatic media recommendations and deliver to clients
Evaluate current technology partners and recommend potential opportunities (e.g. data, verification, attribution)
Develop and adhere to timelines for campaign launches, media recommendations, and other projects
Maintain relationships with programmatic vendors
Manage buying platform spend and budget
Work with Analytics Director & VP to stay current on ad tech trends and share industry knowledge through involvement in events, conferences, and digital channels
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 2 years hands-on experience with a demand-side platform (DSP)
3+ years of experience in digital media; managerial experience preferred
Experience with TheTradeDesk, Google Ads, and Facebook Ads Manager
Thorough understanding of media KPIs and best practices for measurement in the digital space
Capacity to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
